Shoes

Before we went home for the day, we distributed shoes that a colleague and friend of mine Tonia Wilson donated to Tenki to give to the children in Gbaiima. Previously she had asked how can she help, what items do the kids need, and I remembered on our last visit how all of the kids were running around with worn and tattered shoes. So she donated a dozens shoes for us to give to them. The kids were SO excited to get these shoes. They were randomly selected from the primary school and if the shoe fit, they got to wear it. It was a great way to end the day. Tonia was very happy to hear about the impact of her contribution and we’re already planning for the next time, so that she can send even more!

No contribution is ever too small and there are multiple ways to help the community. Everyone’s support is much appreciated. Tenki
