The trip was long but 24hrs later I’m here. There’s something about Sierra Leone that I just love. I didn’t grow up here, I don’t speak the language yet, but when I sit here and gaze upon her beauty, feel the fresh breeze pass over me, the sun gently kissing my skin, I feel like this is where I’ve always been, where I’m supposed to be. And as we’re taking the first tangible steps to grow our organization and collaborate with people, I’ve realized that I need to remember one thing- work with people who love her. Find talented people who love Sierra Leone, want to uplift her and share her beauty with the world. Because if that’s the end game, the success of this country, we’ll be alright.
