Arrival at Last!

Baima Primary School

After leaving Foya farm we stopped in the village of Baima where Tenki has an enduring commitment to elevate both the community health clinic and the primary school.

Meeting with the Adminsitrators

As a team we sat down and met with the school administrators. They explained that the solar panels that we had installed last year had been struck by lightning.

Troubleshooting

Our resident engineer Matthew sprung into action to help diagnose the root of the problem. The school administrators relayed that the system suffered a lightning strike and has been intermittent ever since. Tenki is working to troubleshoot the problem and get the lights back on again during this Conference trip.

Baima Community Health Center

After the school visit we made our way over to Baima clinic, one of the original clinics supported by Tenki’s Ultrasound program. We were given a warm greeting by one of the leads at the clinic, Antoinette.

Labor Room

We toured the clinic to give everyone a chance to see what it’s like to give birth in an African village. In this photo, you can see the two tables that are used during labor.

Equipment Check

We also took the opportunity to check on the Tenki ultrasound equipment and were happy to see it was fully charged and ready for the next expectant mother. With our visit complete, we finally set off for our hotel in Bo and a much anticipated shower!
