Some of the children in Gbo chiefdom walk almost 5mi one way just to get to junior secondary school (middle school). They walk along dangerous roads and pass over flooded paths during rainy season to get an education

There also is no secondary school (high school) in the chiefdom. So many JSS students either drop out, or get sent to stay in Bo city with extended family, where they are at risk to be exploited, neglected or abused. This is particularly dangerous for the girls who are also at increased risk of teenage pregnancy.

Join us in our largest fundraiser to date, as we aim to raise $150,000 to provide transportation that can manage the terrain, and provide financial sustainability for fuel, maintenance and the driver, while we work with the Ministry of Education to facilitate long-term internal plans of self-sufficiency
